The Australian Construction Modellers Association is an industry body for Steel Detailers and Construction modellers.
In September 2025, we launched our very own Steel Detailer training course – Unit 1! And Unit 2 is planned for release in 2026. However, as we are not-for-profit organisation and are funded by membership alone, we need your help to complete Unit 2.
The Back Story & Vision
Sadly, the steel detailing industry is largely an unregulated industry. With no formal training available which teaches the fundamentals of steel detailing, let alone some of the more complicated aspects of this profession, we decided to take the plunge and develop our own comprehensive course!
The course is divided into 2 Units and will delve into every facet of Structural Steel Detailing, ensuring a thorough understanding of the subject matter is achieved. For a full outline of the course content, refer to the video below.
